Why is Pokemon suddenly the next big thing?

It used to be frowned upon to be seen talking about Pokemon, let alone be playing it and drawing your own little Pokemon characters.

I'm all for drawing the characters, but...
What I keep seeing are...
"Unique" Pokemon with "unusual" markings and "special" traits.
Serious, the Pokemon characters I'm seeing are all "special" because no one likes normal Pokemon.
Okay, I'm not bitching per se as just pointing out.
Then again, all Pokemon of one species aren't completely identical, so my point is invalid lol.
I'll admit that I have two shinies in my team, but that's the extent of "unusual" traits my Pokemon have.
Let's share 8D

Kyle-Shiny Charizard
Yes, he is shiny.
No one wanted him to begin with because they thought he was a sickly Pokemon; serious, seeing a yellow Charmander would scream sick.
He's always loved his food, even as an iddy-biddy Charmander.
He doesn't get mega-pounds like Snorlax because he's a fucking psycho thing.
He can barely sit still, he's always running around playing with Jamie or Freefaller...and searching for food.

Freefaller-Shiny Rayquaza
Why didn't I have my baby first?
Yes; shiny Legendary, omg.
There are a small flock of Rayquaza that live in the ozone, no way is there only one.
There were stories of how black Rayquaza's normally became stronger than regular Rayquaza because their unusual colouring attracted unwanted attention, thus becoming great rulers of their flock.
When Free's daddy found out he was a shiny, he was pissed off.
See, Free's dad is the leader of the little Rayquaza population, and having any competition, even his own son didn't sit well with him.
So he wanted to kill Free before he became a nuisance.
But he never did cuz Skylar, my Pokemon OC person, got to Free first.
Long story.
He's a happy little Rayquaza.
Yes. LITTLE.
I never did like the idea of every Rayquaza being like 20 feet long, so baby Rayquaza are, well, babies; start out at three feet or something, and grow to their massive length.
Serious, the Pokedex says like 24 feet, but in the movie, he's FUCKING MASSIVE!!
Okay, enough ranting on Free.

Jamie-Pidgeot
Omg, it's an original Pokemon!
Jamie's always had a lax kinda nature, taking everything as it comes and not holding grudges.
You know, forgive and forget.
He despises Staraptor though, I don't really know why.
Kind of like that Seviper-Zangoose hate thing.
He's had to put up with dickhead Kyle since forever.

Lucifer-Tyranitar
Okay, so the first actual Pokemon Skylar catches...oh, but as a Larvitar of course.
As a Larvitar, he wasn't exactly keen on getting into fights; little Larvitar can't match up good with a massive...uh...Nidoking :3
Random Pokemon.
He always aspired to being a Tyranitar, but as a Pupitar things went downhill for the guy; a pretty much immobile hunk of rock does that.
Noooow he's a Tyranitar, and loves to get into fights with Kyle when Mr. Charizard isn't eating.

William-Luxray
William wasn't all that wrapped when he was captured as a Shinx; all Pokemon hear stories about Trainers, and William's pack heard the bad stories about Trainers keeping their Pokemon in uncomfortable balls for weeks on end.
That...didn't sit too well with him.
But, yeah, Skylar's a good girl and lets her team out whenever possible.
He's a shy bugger, too, even as a Luxray, and he just turns to mush when he sees a girl Luxray :3

Harrison-Eevee
Yay, lucky last Harrison!
I gotta say, after Free and Kyle, he's gotta be my next fave lol
Harrison is headstrong!
He hates to lose, loves pranks and wants to evolve really badly, but doesn't like the seven or so known evolutions offered to him.
Wow, picky much?
So, like, I've made up the rest of the Eevee-types and I'm pretty sure he's going to become a Plasmeon *coughghostcough*

My uber awesome team that I've had for aaaages that kind of sucks lol
If you reckon I copied someone, well, you're wrong.
Oh, man, I've had this team for years now that I think about it.
Ew.
I've never actually put it to use in the Pokemon games.
Mainly because Eevee suck in battle, and because Tyranitar's Sand Stream fucks up everything, AND because shinies are bastards to find.
Yup, they be my excuses.

Oh, lol they're all blokes.
Well.......chicks have a 75% chance getting males and 25% for females.
Males rule the percentage world for...women trainers lol
Their...aroma attracts the horny male Pokemon.
Lol and men attract slutty female Pokemon.
And those select few that pick the same gender are gay :3
I dunno, that's the only explanation that makes sense

Now I've just gotta draw them.
Trying to draw Kyle ain't fun D:
I loose my patience too easily lol

3:33am should probably wrap this up.
Oh, lol, if anyone took my little bitch about "unique" Pokemon up there seriously, sorry.
I don't mean any of it; Kyle and Free are very unique :3

_{Well, I normally use MS Paint because Photoshop is such a pain, and it's easier to just sketch on it, but I use Adobe Photoshop CS3.
You can tell which one I've used with what program :3}
